On the afternoon of September 14th, the opening ceremony of China link "Discover at HUST" Summer Program (Session 2) was held in HUST Welcome Center. The ceremony drew the participation of key figures, including SIE (School of International Education) Dean Prof. Zhou Liping, vice dean Prof. Zhao Xiaofeng, and MSE (school of mechanical science and engineering) vice dean Prof. Chen Rong, along with other school’s faculties. The event was graced by the presence of 15 international students representing Belgium, Germany, Denmark, France, Russia, Thailand, and other nations.
During this momentous occasion, Prof. Chen extended a heartfelt welcome to the attending international students. Her warm reception set a welcoming tone for the commencement of their academic journey at HUST. Prof. Chen engaged in insightful and extensive discussions with two MSE exchange students, COCO CHARLOTTE SCHWARZ and WELKER JUSTUS VALENTIN, who hail from Germany. Through these conversations, she provided these students with an in-depth understanding of MSE's robust disciplines and the vibrant international academic environment that characterizes the department. Professor Chen's engagement served to further illuminate the unique educational opportunities and intellectual atmosphere that MSE offers to its students, both domestic and international.
MSE international student counselor Ms. Wu Siqi gave students an overall introduction to MSE’s development process, discipline advantages, scientific research and teaching resources, international education etc.
China link "Discover at HUST" Summer Program has effectively promoted international exchange between HUST and other world-renowned universities. With the support of SIE, MSE will continue to be deeply involved in China link "Discover at HUST" Summer Program to exchange and cooperate with other world-renowned universities, to develop more talents with global perspectives and intercultural communication abilities, and to enhance HUST’s international influence!
