Wang Wei came to the Network and Computing Center of South Six Building to investigate and guide the cyber security and Informatization progression on the morning of September 29, 2022.
He visited the network computer rooms, data rooms, call centers, UPS battery rooms, diesel engine rooms, rooms for the high-performance computing public service platform and the smart campus operation and management center. Wang Shixian, director of the Network and Informatization Office and party secretary and director of the Network and Computing Center, reported the cyber security and informatization developments of HUST during the 13th Five-year, as well as its informatization development planning for the next five years. Moreover, he reported and demonstrated the project progress and application of the "One-Form" platform, data board system, dashboard interaction platform and other significant information platforms.
Wang Wei indicated that the University's "Ten Ones" project on informatization development during the 13th Five-year had made great achievements. His requirements for the cyber security and informatization development in next stage include: firstly, guarantee the cyber security with every effort as the National Day holiday and the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China are approaching, and HUST is preparing for its 70th anniversary; Secondly, pay close attention to fire safety by offering more guards in areas with high risks such as computer rooms, battery rooms and diesel engine rooms; Thirdly, attach importance to epidemic prevention and control and strengthen responsibilities to ensure continuous operation of computer rooms, important information platforms and other infrastructures of network and information technology at HUST. Wang Wei pointed out that we should carry out all tasks orderly according to the 14th Five-year Plan of Informatization Development, and provide more support of information technologies to realize the global objective of building a first-class university.
The investigation delegation also included the colleagues of the Party Committee Office and the Office of President. Besides, the leaders of the Network and Informatization Office and the Network and Computing Center attended the panel discussion.
