Notice Regarding Selection of HUST Honorary International Graduates in 2023

Dear international graduates,

In order to commend international students with outstanding scientific achievements and excellent performances, School of International Education will carry out the selection of "HUST Honorary International Graduates" among the 2023 graduates. The arrangements are hereby notified as follows:

I. Qualification

1. Basic Qualification

a) HUST registered degree students;

b) Good discipline record. No record of punishment and undermining the university`s reputation.

c) Honest, devoted to university;

d) Diligent and well-disciplined at study with an average score of 80 or above;

e) No academic misconduct;

f) Passed thesis defense and qualified to apply for the Degree Certificate.

2. Essential Qualification

Applicants should match at least one of the conditions below:

a) Received at leaset one award during study;

b) Received university/provincial/national awards during study;

c) Promoted international cooperation between HUST and other institutions;

d) Carried out activities that contribute to the development of the university or enhance its reputation;

e) Awarded as university/provincial/national excellent graduation thesis holder;

II. Application Procedure

1. Applicants should log in https://www.wjx.cn/vm/OG4k6mY.aspx to submit the application with supporting materials before May 23, 2023;

2. ISO will send the application materials to relevant schools for a comprehensive review and the evaluation will based on their daily performances. Applicants do not need to contact supervisor or school during the procedure.

3. ISO will organize final review and submit the result to the University for approval.

III. Evaluation Results

The list of nominees will be announced at the website of School of International Education (iso.hust.edu.cn) and certificates will be awarded to winners.

IV. Points for Attention

Applicants must submit supporting materials as required. If the student does not submit application as it required, or submit incorrect and false information, the application shall be considered as invalid.

关于评选2023届优秀留华毕业生的通知

各国际学生培养单位：

为表彰一批科研成果显著和表现优异的国际学生，树立优秀国际学生成才典型，学校将在2023届毕业生当中开展“优秀留华毕业生”评选工作。现将有关评选事宜通知如下：

一、 评选条件

（一）基本条件

1. 全日制在校注册的国际学生；

2. 严格遵守中国的法律法规和学校的各项规章制度，无违法违纪记录；未受到过任何处分或处罚，未损害学校声誉；

3. 明礼诚信，乐于奉献，知华友华；

4. 勤奋学习，学风端正，成绩优良（平均成绩不低于80分）；

5. 学习态度端正，无学术不端行为；

6. 通过毕业论文答辩，有资格获得毕业证和学位证；

（二）必备条件

必须同时符合以下条件之一：

1. 在校期间获得过一项以上奖励或者荣誉称号；

2. 获得校级以上单位的表彰或奖励，为学校赢得了荣誉；

3. 促进了学校与其他机构或国家的教育交流与合作；

4. 开展了其他有助于学校发展或提升学校知名度的活动；

5. 毕业论文获得过校级及以上优秀论文荣誉。

二、 评选程序

1. 学生申请：学生应于2023年5月23日前登录https://www.wjx.cn/vm/OG4k6mY.aspx 提交个人申请。

2. 院系推荐：国际学生办公室将汇总整理学生申请材料至相关院系，由相关院系确认学生申请信息并完成评审推荐。(院系推荐过程中，学生无需联系院系或导师发送评审材料)。

3. 国际教育学院将组织专家评审并报学校审批。

三、 评选结果

评审结果将在国际教育学院网站（iso.hust.edu.cn）公布并颁发荣誉证书给获评优秀留华毕业生。

四、 注意事项

申请学生必须严格按照要求提交支撑材料，不按要求提交或提交错误、虚假信息的，将视为无效申请。
