长期从事激光物理、激光技术、激光光学、理论物理等课程教学,长期从事高功率高光束质量激光技术的研究,特别关注光束质量和光束形式的控制;研究特点是理论联系实际,多项基于专利技术的激光工业应用技术最终发展成为成熟的工业应用装备。
始终坚持:学问从问题展开求务实创新,项目不管大小高低唯求最好;教育围绕人进行应因人而异,学生无论南北东西只要努力。

Peifeng Chen is the Professor and Doctoral supervisor of optical science and technology at Huazhong Univ. of Sci. & Tech. His research spans Laser physics, Laser optics, high power Laser device and industrial engineering and photo-electronic testing technology. He focuses on questions such as: high power laser beam quality technology, Laser beam shaping and beam profile control. His work has been featured in a number of patents being transfer to the industrial device variety in the country. His teaching Course is warmly welcomed by the students and collected by the Chaoxing academic video data base.
