报告题目:Combining maximal regularity and energy estimates for time discretizations of quasilinear parabolic equations.
报告摘要:Fully and linearly implicit versions of the Backward Difference Formulae (BDF) methods for quasilinear parabolic equations with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions and an initial condition are considered. Without making any assumptions on the growth or decay of the coefficient function a(u) ,optimal-order error bounds of the time-discrete approximation to the solution and its gradient in the maximum norm and energy norm are obtained, which are collected in two convergence theorems that are the main focus of the talk.
