Notice Regarding the Arrangements for Winter Vacation in 2021

Dear all international students:
According to the university's winter vacation of 2021 work arrangements, the winter vacation will start on January 15, 2021 and end on February 28, 2021. This winter vacation coincides with the high incidence of the rebound of the Covid-19 epidemic in winter, and the global epidemic prevention and control situation is still very severe. We hereby recommend that international students in China do not travel if non-essential, reduce unnecessary outings and gatherings, and try not to travel to other domestic cities, especially high risk areas or leave China, the following consequences caused by the risk of infection and prevention and control due to private travel will be borne by the students involved. The related work arrangements for winter vacation are notified as follows:
1. Application for access permissions to campus
During the winter vacation, in principle, international students living outside campus are not allowed to enter the school. If there is such a need, you should apply for temporary access to the campus through the international student management system, which will be submitted to the review of your department and the School of International Education. If you need to enter the campus to carry out research work, you should get the consent of the supervisor (no online procedures are required), and apply for temporary access to the campus through the international student management system one day in advance. International students living on campus are not encouraged to leave the campus if non-essential. If there is such a need, you should apply for temporary access through the international student management system (no more than 3 times per week), which will be reviewed by the department and the School of International Education. In addition, the travel information should be registered at the reception of the apartment, and the staff of each international student apartment will also check the winter vacation destination information of the students in their apartment before the holiday.
2. Application for leaving Wuhan or China
During the winter vacation, international students are not recommended to travel out of Wuhan. If you do need to, you are required to apply to the counselor/supervisor, the department and the School of International Education for approval. If international students need to return to their country, the students themselves should report to the embassy of their country in China for approval. For Chinese government scholarship students who leave China during the winter vacation, their living allowances will be suspended in accordance with relevant regulation. According to the relevant notice of the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce does not provide air tickets for visiting home during the winter vacation. If you apply to return to the country at their own expense, you should apply to the competent authority of their home country and the competent authority will send a note to the Chinese embassy (consulate) abroad, only after the relevant Chinese embassy (consulate) in local agree and inform the training center of the Ministry of Commerce, then you can go through the relevant travel procedures. If you do not leave China as above required procedures, the relevant consequences will be borne by yourselves.
3. Other considerations
During the winter vacation, International students staying in Wuhan must pay attention to the electricity security, pay attention to the cold weather and keep warm, and maintain good study and rest habits. In case of any emergencies, please contact the apartment staff, the department counselor or the staff on duty of the International Student Office as soon as possible (duty location: Counter 1 of the Administrative Service Center; on-duty telephone: 027-87541868 ext. 8001).

关于2021年寒假工作安排的通知
全校国际学生:
按照学校2021年寒假工作安排,本学期寒假从2021年1月15日开始,至2021年2月28日结束。此次寒假正值冬季新冠疫情反弹的高发期,全球疫情防控形势仍十分严峻,建议在华国际学生“非必要,不出行”,减少非必要的外出和聚会,尽量不出行其他国内城市尤其是疫情高风险地区或离华,因私自出行带来疫情感染和防控等风险而造成的一系列后果的,将由涉事学生承担。寒假相关工作安排如下:
一、进出校园申请
寒假期间,原则上不允许校外居住国际学生进校,因确有需要的,应通过国际学生管理系统申请校园卡临时出入权限,经院系和国际教育学院两级审批。如需进校开展研究工作,应经导师同意(不需办理线上手续),校园卡进校权限应提前一天在管理系统申请。校内居住的国际学生非必要不外出,确有需要的,应通过国际学生管理系统申请校园卡临时出入权限,经院系和国际教育学院两级审批,每周不超过3次,且应向所在公寓前台登记出行信息,各国际学生公寓工作人员也会在假期前统计各自公寓内住宿学生的寒假去向信息。
二、离汉离华申请
寒假期间,不建议国际学生出市旅行,确有需要出武汉市的,应“一人一报、一事一报”,经辅导员/导师同意,院系审批,国际教育学院疫情防控领导小组审批并报学校疫情防控领导小组备案。国际学生确有需要回国的,学生本人应报本国驻华使馆同意。寒假期间自行离境的中国政府奖学金学生,其生活费将按照相关规定暂停发放。按照商务部相关通知要求,商务部援外学历学位项目暂不提供寒假探亲机票,如个别学员申请自费回国,需向其本国派出主管部门申请并由其派出主管部门照会中国驻外使(领)馆,经中国相关驻外使(领)馆同意并告知商务部培训中心后,方可办理有关出行手续,未按照要求私自离境的,相关后果将由本人承担。
三、其它注意事项
寒假在汉国际学生寒假期间务必注意用电安全, 注意防寒保暖,保持良好作息习惯,如遇突发情况,要第一时间联系公寓工作人员、院系辅导员或国际学生办公室值班老师(值班地点:师生服务中心1号窗口;值班电话:027-87541868转8001)。
