Chinese Government Scholarship - Silk Road Program is a full scholarship program established by the Ministry of Education, P. R. China, aiming to cooperate with the Belt and Road Initiative and encourage the top ranking Chinese universities to select outstanding students from Belt and Road countries to study in China.
As one of the prestigious universities designated by the the Ministry of Education, Huazhong University of Science and Technology has officially opened application for degree courses under Silk Road Program in 2024.

Stipend:
- Undergraduates: CNY 2,500 per month;
- Master’s students: CNY 3,000 per month;
- Doctoral students: CNY 3,500 per month.

1. be a citizen of a Belt and Road countries and in good health both mentally and physically;

2. be an academically excellent holder of high school diploma or its equivalent under the age of 25 when applying for an undergraduate program;
be an academically excellent holder of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent under the age of 35 when applying for a Master’s program;
be an academically excellent holder of a Master’s degree or its equivalent under the age of 40 when applying for a doctoral program.
➭Language Proficiency
Chinese Medium:
HSK 4 with scores 180 or above for graduate programs of Science and Engineering;
HSK5 with scores 180 or above for graduate programs ofEconomics and Management;
HSK 3 with scores 180 or above for undergraduate programs.
English Medium:
TOEFL 80 or above;
GRE General 310 or above;
IELTS 6.0 or above;
other certificates of the same proficiency level which are accepted by HUST;
Or the previous degree was instructed in English.

Part 1. Academic Documents
1.Academic Certificate
An official certificate of your highest education or the official document of enrollment issued by the current school.
Academic documents issued in the third language should be notarized in Chinese or English editions.

Introduce yourself in details, explain your understanding of China, list the reasons and your expectations for studying at HUST.
4.Personal Introduction Video
Please record and submit a video in English or Chinese within 60 seconds.

More than 1,000 characters or words, in Chinese or English;

Future academic/career objectives (Preferred).

➭Application and Admission Procedures
Application Period:
November 20, 2023 to January 31, 2024.
Step 1.
Log in to the HUST online application system athttps://admission.hust.edu.cn/.
Step 2.
Choose the category and the program, upload theAcademic Documents, and submit yourapplication.
Step 3.
Take the Online Test in the form of objective questions.
Step4.
After passing the Online Test, please finish the payment of the application fee of 600 CNY/100 USD by China UnionPay, Alipay, WeChat Pay or International bank card (VISA/Master).
Step5.
Applications will be evaluated by the school/department concerned.
Applicants that pass the evaluation will receive a Nomination Letter for Admission.
Step6.
Upload theNon-Academic Documents, complete your application and wait for the admission result.

三．申请条件

2.学历和年龄要求：
申请攻读本科学位者，应当具有高中毕业同等学力，学习成绩优秀，年龄不超过25周岁；

5.学校将对申请材料进行学术审核。通过审核的申请人将收到录取提名信；
6.上传非学术类申请材料，提交申请并等待录取结果。
