On February 18, the 2022 annual commendation conference was held in the university. At the meeting, advanced groups and excellent individuals with outstanding performances in various work of the university in the past year were commended. The Network and Informatization Office won the title of Advanced Group for Publicity and Ideological Work.
Network and Informatization Office has always attached great importance to the publicity work. It focused on the advancement of key work while strengthening the publicity. In 2022, significant progress was made in the work related to "One Form" platform. It has been applied in 41 schools, and received the attention and affirmation of higher authorities. It was adopted by the Education Digest Weekly of the Ministry of Education, and was also highly recognized by the Guangming Daily, China Science Daily, Changjiang Daily and other media.
Network and Informatization Office, together with the Network and Computing Center, organized all the staff and workers to make a short movie named Advance Forward with Network & Computing Team, which was selected for the provincial competition. Through the reproduction of real scenes, the short movie reflects the positiveness of personnel responsible for network and informatization work in tackling difficulties and providing information technology support for teaching & scientific research, and writes an epic chapter of the Network and Informatization Office.
Network and Informatization Office also made full use of new media platforms to promote its work. The Campus Information section of the official WeChat account of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) pushes diversified tweets from time to time, such as the investigation and prevention of "mining" virus, and the release of information technology planning during the 14th Five-year Plan period, which is a good means of education and publicity for increasing teachers and students' awareness of cyber security. According to statistics, in 2022, the Network and Informatization Office and the Network Center published 18 news articles on the news website of HUST and pushed 61 tweets on its enterprise WeChat.
It is reported that this is the third time that the Network and Informatization Office was awarded the title of Advanced Group for Publicity and Ideological Work.
