Ying zhong, female, was born in March 1962. She is a second-level professor and doctoral supervisor at the school of journalism and information communication, huazhong university of science and technology. Ying zhong has a number of social part-time jobs, as the vice President of the Chinese society of network communication, the vice President of the Chinese society of communication and the expert of the discipline review group of the national social science foundation. In addition, she is a special researcher at the Internet news research center of the state Internet information office, a special researcher at the new media research center of the Chinese academy of social sciences, a special expert at the chutian public opinion data research institute of hubei daily media group, and the director of the joint laboratory of qingcai video new media of huazhong university of science and technology.
Ying zhong holds bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctor's degree from central China normal university and postdoctoral degree from journalism school of fudan university. In 1997, she was a visiting scholar at the school of information communication, university of north London, and in 2008, she was a visiting scholar at the school of journalism, university of Missouri.
Ying zhong once studied Chinese, history, information management and news communication. Now she is mainly engaged in teaching and research in the fields of network communication, media policy and communication history. She has published nearly 100 papers in authoritative and core academic journals. She has written and co-authored more than ten academic works. She is responsible for more than 10 research projects of different types.
