Zhao kui, professor at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, doctoral supervisor, postdoctoral fellow of Tongji University, vice president of the Guild Hall Professional Committee of Chinese Society of Cultural Relics, director of Chinese Guild Hall architectural heritage conservation research center, visiting scholar at the University of Florida in United States, and international member of the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS). His main research directions are traditional architecture and heritage protection, ecological architecture and regional architecture. He participated in a number of National Natural Science Foundation, published a number of books, published a number of research papers in core journals, and won many provincial and ministerial awards for design and planning projects.

1.2009, The National Natural Science Foundation of China(fund no.50978111): Study of the Guild Hall on the Immigration Channel of Huguang Filling Sichuan in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

2.2009, The Humanities and Social Science Funding Project of Sichuan Education Department: Study of Salt Industry Architecture on Sichuan Salt Ancient Road.

3. 2010, The National Natural Science Foundation of China (fund no.51078151): Study of the Settlement Changes and Its Social Dynamic Mechanism on the Cultural Route of the Hanjiang River Basin.

4. 2010, The "Refined Mapping of Ancient Chinese Architecture", a special project of the “Compass Project” of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage: Research on Refined Mapping and 3d Modeling Technology of Liangyi Hall of Nanyan Palace in Wudang Mountain Based on Sensor Integration and Fusion.
