Dr. Hongbo Yu is a Professor of Microbiology in Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His research interests focus on environmental microbiology, enzyme engineering and biorefinery, especially focus on lignocellulosic biomass valorization to value-added chemicals, materials and liquid fuels. He has authored more than thirty peer-reviewed papers in high impact journals, including Green Chemistry, Applied and Environmental Microbiology, ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, Bioresource Technology et al., and been the first inventor for two patents.
