Born in Guangshui, Hubei Province in 1985, he received a doctor's degree in fluid mechanics from  University of Science and Technology of China in 2014. Then he worked as a lecturer in the School of Architecture and Ocean Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He visited the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham from August 2018 to August 2019. His main research fields are hydrodynamics of ship and marine engineering, lattice Boltzmann method, two-phase flows, droplet / liquid film dynamics and so on. He has undertaken the undergraduate courses such as "Engineering Fluid Mechanics", "Ship and Marine Engineering Experimental Technology", "Ship Statics" and so on.
