Ren Li is the Professor at School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Huazhong University of Science and Technology. She focuses on applied superconductivity in power system,such as superconducting magnetic energy storage system (SMES), superconducting reactor, superconducting cable, superconducting transformer, superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) and superconducting magent. She has presided or participated projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 program), National Basic Research Program of China-973 Program, Specialized Research Fund for ITER, State Grid Corporation of China and China Southern Power Grid Company Limited. She published about 122 papers, and 68 papers were indexed by SCI. Recipient of the second prize of Hubei province natural science in 2008. Recipient of the second prize of Hubei province scientific and technological advancement in 2015. Recipient of the third prize of Yunnan province technology invention in 2015.
