Peng Li received the B.S., the M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China, in June 1989, June 1992, and September 2004, respectively.
In June 1992, she joined Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Now she is a Full Professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Electromagnetic Engineering and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Her research interests include power electronic conversion, its control and applications, modular power supply and parallel control technique, renewable energy generation, power quality control, and modular multilevel converter (MMC) for HVDC applications. She has undertaken and finished over 60 research projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Ministerial project, research institutes, and industrial partner programs. She received 3 times science and technology awards from ministry and local government.
Prof. Peng is the author/coauthor of more than 100 published technical papers and holds 15 issued/pending patents. She is a co-author of a textbook for higher education published in 2011, titled “Power Electronics- power conversion and control Technique”. She is a co-author of Volume 2 Part 5 Power Electronic Control Technology in China Electrical Engineering Canon published in 2009. She is a senior member of China Electrotechnical Society. She serves as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics.
