LUO ZHI QIANG
·Personal Information
Dr. Zhiqiang Luo obtained his Ph.D. in physics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, studying the synthesis and spectroscopy characterization of low dimensional carbon materials. After five years' postdoctoral research on organic electronics and bioelectronics in the James Franck Institute, the University of Chicago, he joined Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2016 as a professor in biomedical engineering. The research interests in Luo Lab mainly focus on exploration of the interface between nanotechnology and biomedical science, placing an emphasis on the development of novel material synthesis methods, innovative device concepts, advanced processing of soft materials and devices, for the applications in cell physiology study as well as wearable and implantable soft biomedical devices. Current research projects include innovative bio-interfaced electronic/optoelectronic/piezoelectric materials and devices for cellular probing/stimulation and precise manipulation of cell behaviors, integration of functional nanomaterials and soft bionic devices with biological system for exploring new generation biomedical tools with physiology-monitoring and diseases-therapy functions.
