LUO GUANG QIAN
·Research Field
Associate Professor of Thermal Engineering.
Dr Guangqian Luo’s Ph.D. thesis focused on the emission control of gaseous pollutants in coal-fired power plants. His thesis also won the ‘Best Excellent Thesis of Hubei Province’ that year. He previously worked as research assistant in Albert University. Currently, Dr. Luo’s research applies to the combustion of coal and biomass and their pollutants emission characteristics. Each research project combines theoretical approach and phenomenological approach.
Dr. Luo, as project manager, has undertaken a sub-project of National Key Research & Development Program of China (funded by Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China) and several projects funded by National Nature Science Foundation of China. He also has been in cooperation with companies in energy area.
Dr. Luo has published more than 100 academic papers and 66 papers have been included by SCI. Among them, one paper was awarded the ‘Distinguished paper for the 33rd International Symposium’, one was awarded the ‘Best Paper for the 9th International Symposium on Coal Combustion’ and another was included as ‘ESI Highly Cited Papers’. He also applied for 20 Chinese patents and 17 patents have been authorized successfully until now.
Master candidates and Ph.D. candidates major in Thermal Engineering, Renewable Energy, Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science & Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering are welcome to participate in our team!
