LEI Zukang
Dr. Zukang LEI, graduated from Tsinghua University where he gained his Ph.D. degree in 2005. He acquired his Master degree at Tankang University (Taiwan) in 1993 and his Bachelor degree at Fengchia University, Taiwan, in 1991.
Now, Dr. Zukang LEI serves as Associate Professor and Master Supervisor at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He is also a Contributing Editor of “New Architecture” journal.
In terms of research experiences, Dr. Zukang LEI has worked in architectural heritage conservation and building environmental science for more than fifteen years. He has already edited and translated 8 academic books. He has also published more than fifrty prominent academic papers which are distributed in n AHCI journals (2 papers), EI/CPCI-S journals (9 papers), THCI journals (2 papers), Chinese core journals (14 papers), international journals (2 papers), international conference journals (8 papers), and national conference journals (3 papers). Apart from academic publications, Dr. Zukang Lei has conducted multiple research projects including overseas longitudinal projects (8), domestic longitudinal projects (6), national fund projects (3), provincial fund project (1), and Huazhong University of Science and Technology fun projects (4). Dr. Zukang LEI also obtained nine national invention patents.
In terms of teaching experiences, Dr. Zukang LEI has won the second prize of Excellent Teaching Award of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He assisted students in obtaining multiple awards such as the prizes of Outstanding Achievement in Scientific Research for Hubei Provincial College Students, excellent thesis, and national architectural design competitions.
With regards to Dr. Zukang LEI’s careers in Taiwan, he has worked for Taipei Han Kuang Architects and Cultural Heritage Conservation Research Center for heritage restoration projects and research works. He was involved in the famous architectural project ‘Taipei City Council Building’, as well as other design and construction supervisions works.
