Ming Jiang has been engaged in the research of advanced laser manufacturing technology. His research interests is computer integrated manufacturing, which includes laser technology, computer control, machine tools and industrial robots, three-dimensional graphics, machine vision. He has developed CAM software for laser flying marking system, laser trimmer system and three-dimensional laser texturing system. All of these project were used in practical application. Ming Jiang has obtained several software copyrights and invention patents as the first copyright owner. Among these research projects, the first cross-scale reconfigurable three-dimensional laser texturing system, which reconstructs mechanical five-axis machine tools into large-scale three-dimensional laser precision texturing equipment, has been accomplished and applied to the manufacturing of cutting-edge parts. The related technical papers are published in Robotics and Computer Integrated Manufacturing System, which is one of the first-class international manufacturing journals.
