Zhen-li Huang received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Nankai University (1998) and Ph. D. degree in Optics from Zhongshan University (2003). Postdoctoral training (2005~2007) in Biomedical Spectroscopy and Microscopy was at the Department of Chemistry and CREOL, College of Optics and Photonics, University of Central Florida. In July 2003, he was offered a lectureship in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and later was promoted to Associate Professor (2004) and Full Professor (2009). He was invited as a visiting professor at the Department of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering, University of Colorado Boulder (2015-2016). Currently he is focusing in the development and applications of localization-based super-resolution microscopy.
