Guo Hongxing received the B.S and Ph.D from Wuhan University. He served as a Post Ph.D researcher at school of computer science and technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology(HUST) for two years, where he is an associate professor now. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Alberta,
