Profile

Professor Geng is doctoral supervisor , dean of department of urban planning, School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Her main research direction is  the theory and design of urban and rural planning, regional development and small town construction. Over the years, she has undertaken more than 20 national and provincial projects, hosted and participated in 4 national natural science foundation projects, and published more than 100 academic papers in important academic journals and major international conferences at home and abroad. More than 30 research and design projects were awarded by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Hubei province.
