Dr. Cao received the B.Eng. degree in electronics information in 2007, the M.Eng. degree in electromagnetic field and microwave technology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in physics in 2013 from the Institut d'Electronique Fondamentale, Université Paris Sud, France. From November 2019, he is associate professor at the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Electromagnetic Engineering and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
His current research interests include the temporal and spectral measurement of THz pulses emitted from the high power FEL, design of THz detectors based on the two dimensional electron gas (2DEG), and the calculation of THz waveguide for low loss and low dispersion propagation.
Undergraduate students majoring in opto-electronics, physics, electrical engineering, and electronics & communications are welcome to apply for master supervision.
