Ying Xu received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering and automation and the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China, in 2011 and 2016, respectively. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow with HUST from 2016 to 2018 and was appointed a lecturer at HUST in 2018. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Principal Member of the IEEE China Council Council on Superconductivity Chapter. He is a member of China Electrical Engineering Society and China Electrotechnical Society. He has hosted and participated in more than 10 research projects, including one National Natural Science Youth Fund and one post-doctoral fund. His research interests are in the fields of superconducting power technologies and new electromagnetic technologies. The main project experience includes the research and development of high-temperature superconducting magnetic energy storage systems, superconducting cables, superconducting current limiters, et al. He has received several funding from Government and Industries including National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key R&D Program and corporate scientific research projects. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 papers including 70 IEEE Transactions Journal papers. He has served as a reviewer for many internationally renowned journals, such as Superconductor Science and Technology, IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity, Cryogenics, International Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems, Journal of Energy Storage, The International Journal for Computation and Mathematics in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Electric Power Systems Research, et al.
