On July 17, at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships held in Fukuoka, Japan, Chang Yani, a student from the School of Physical Education of HUST won the championship with her teammate Chen Yiwen in the women's synchronized 3m springboard final. This victory marked the sixth gold medal for the Chinese Diving Team in the tournament.

Chang Yani and Chen Yiwen won the championship with an absolute advantage. They are both experienced and outstanding athletes and won awards together in last year's FINA World Championships and FINA Diving World Cup.
