On April 8th, a framework agreement was signed by HUST President Ding Lieyun and Dr. Patrick Curmi the President of Université d'Evry-Val-d'Essonne. The two universities are to launch intensive coordination in teaching, research etc. based on their predominant disciplines.
During the meeting, Ding indicated that the Biomedical Science is a predominant subject both in Université d'Evry-Val-d'Essonne and HUST; Université d'Evry-Val-d'Essonne has made distinctive achievement in the Translational Medical Science (TMS) and the Biocomputing and HUST is also active in TMS, precision medicine and the big data on health etc. which are closely associated with clinical practices. Therefore, the two universities can further enhance their exchanges among high-level personnel and research cooperation based on the cooperation in Life Science.
Dr. Patrick Curmi said that Université d'Evry-Val-d'Essonne seeks to establish comprehensive cooperation with HUST in higher education and research while expanding the cooperation base from Life Science to many other disciplines such as Automation, Computer Science, Mechanism and Logistics Management.
It is said that more than ten students from the Bei Shizhang Elite Class co-founded by the HUST and the Institute of Biophysics of CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) would be invited to go to the summer camp at Université d'Evry-Val-d'Essonne on this summer vacation.

Its Genopole, as an important institute of the City of Evry, is aimed at facilitating the interdisciplinary coordination among the Life Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Informatics, Biology and the Physics Lab of the Université d'Evry-Val-d'Essonne.
