On April 15^th, Prof. Wu Zhigang from the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering of HUST (SMSE) received a congratulation letter from the Nature Publishing Group (NPG) on his paper being selected into the 2015 Top 100 Annual Citation Rate List of the Scientific Reports. The paper, titled ‘Tape Transfer Atomization Patterning of Liquid Alloys for Microfluidic Stretchable Wireless Power Transfer’, was initially published on the Scientific Reports in 2015.

Scientific Reports, a comprehensive scientific journal from the publishers of Nature, published a total of 11,000 papers in 2015. The 2014 Impact Factor for it is 5.578.

Prof. Wu Zhigang, after graduating from the SMSE of HUST with a Bachelor’s Degree, obtained a Ph.D from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He long engaged in the scientific research in Sweden and was elected associate professor of the Uppsala University (Swedish) and young researcher of the Swedish Council for Science. After returning to China, he was invited to serve as professor and doctoral supervisor of the SMSE. Prof. Wu has long been devoted to and achieved fruitful results in the design for Microfluidics and Microfluidic Flexible Electronics and the development and application of the manufacturing techniques, with more than 30 of his papers published on international authoritative journals including Applied Physics Letters, Science Reports, Lab Chip, Small, Advanced Functional Materials, Advanced Materials etc. Many of these papers were selected as journal highlights or cover papers and cited in top international journals such as Nature, Angewandte Chemie and Chemical Society Review for more than 1500 times in total.
