On November 26^th Dr. Gil G. Mor, the chair of the Department of Reproductive Science at Yale University School of Medicine, was appointed as the Guest Professor of HUST. Prof. Chen Jianguo, HUST Vice President, attended the awarding ceremony and delivered the appointment letter.

Prof. Liao Aihua, the director of the Family Planning Research Institute of Tongji Medical College (HUST), introduced the professional achievements of Dr. Gil G. Mor in the field of immunology and reproductive medicine.

Dr. Gil G. Mor expressed his appreciation for the invitation from HUST and his happiness to be appointed as guest professor of HUST. He also hoped to make efforts to promote the exchange and cooperation between the two universities .

Prof. Chen Jianguo pointed out in his words that the cooperation with Dr. Gil G. Mor  would be significant to the development of the research on reproduction and immunology. HUST now is endeavor to develop itself to a first-rate university and the visit of Dr. Gil G. Mor would lay out a good foundation for the bilateral cooperation with HUST and Yale in relative research fields.

After the ceremony, Dr. Gil G. Mor deliverd a three-day course named Reproduction and Immunity to students and teachers of Tongji Medical College of HUST.

Dr. Gil G. Mor, chair of the Department of Reproductive Science at Yale School of Medicine, is a renowned professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Science at Yale School of Medicine. At Yale University, he serves as Director of the Reproductive Immunology Unit and the Translational Research Program, Discovery to Cure DTC. The programs organized by him are supported by National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI) and many pharmaceutical companies. He has more than 300 publications about immunology and reproductive medicine in international journals, such as NEIM, Science and PNAS. And he was elected as the editor of two books on Immunology of Pregnancy and Apoptosis and Cancer. Holding nine patents, Dr. Mor achieved remarkable academic success in the field of immunology and reproductive medicine. He was awarded the J. Christian Herr Award and AJRI Award by the American Society for Reproductive Immunology in 2007 and 2012 respectively.
