From October 13th to 15th, the 2nd China College Students’ “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in HUST. More than 1,200 undergraduates, over 100 educators, entrepreneurs and investors gathered here. The competition produced the champion, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up ,together with 36 Gold Award teams, 115 Silver Award teams and 4 Single Award teams.
The awarding ceremony and closing ceremony were held in the Optics Vally Gymnasium on October 15th. Mr. Chen Baosheng, the minister of MoE, representing the organizing committee of the Competition, issued Appreciation Certificate to HUST and China Construction Bank (sponsor). The ceremony also announced the establishment of Chinese Universities Innovation and Entrepreneurship Industrial Investment Fund. Mr. Wang Zuji, president of China Construction Bank, remarked that he felt honored to be invited to the Competition and hoped that Chinese college students could make persistent efforts to achieve their innovation and entrepreneurship ambitions. 12 projects have signed letter of intention on investment cooperation with investment agencies.
HUST President Ding Lieyun remarked that the Competition promoted the close integration of education, research, production and application, provided a more accurate docking platform for investors and college students’ projects and drove the continuous deepening development of innovation and entrepreneurship education in universities.
China Vice-premier Ms. Liu Yandong visited HUST and attended the relevant activities.
Mr. Guo Shenglian, vice governor of Hubei province, handed the flag over to the next organizer Mr. Zhuang Changxing, vice-governor of Shaanxi province.
