News.hust.edu.cn (Correspondent: Dong Yuge)On Oct. 27th, Wuhan "One Million Graduates Entrepreneurship & Employment Project"-2018 Autumn Job Fair HUST Session took place at West Gymnasium in Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). Nearly 200 high-tech companies, including Xiaomi, YMTC, CSOT, Qihoo 360, FiberHome and Raycus, offered nearly 10,000 decent jobs at the fair.

The recruiters covered a wide range of fields such as internet, software engineering, biomedicine, machinery manufacturing and finance. 2,631 resumes were collected, including 38 PhD resumes, 1,498 master resumes and 1,095 bachelor resumes. 969 graduates reached signing intention with recruiters.

President Ding Lieyun and Vice President Liang Qian attended the fair. Also present were more than 3,000 graduates, enterprise representatives, as well as heads of relevant municipal and district departments.

In recent years the local government have highly valued graduate resources, and striven to change Wuhan's talent advantage into the advantage of driving the development of the Yangtze Economic Belt. Wuhan has released a series of new policies for graduate settlement, housing and income. The event will help graduates with employment.

Since the start of "One Million Graduates Entrepreneurship & Employment Project" in 2017, more than 5,000 graduates of HUST have chosen to stay in Wuhan in the last two years, accounting for one third of all graduates of HUST in the years. Wuhan has become a place for the business start and leap of HUST's employees.
