On June 8, the 10th Lotus Culture Festival was kicked off just as graduates were returning to school.
Every June, HUST gets steeped in lotus fragrance. Looking back over the past several months, HUSTers have witnessed an unforgettable prelude of the year 2020 with the onslaught of COVID-19. We have been touched and inspired by countless things during the combat. The Lotus Culture Festival this year presents a photo exhibition with the themes of " Fighting the Covid-19 in HUST", "Campus Scenery", " Flowers and Birds on Campus" and so forth, to review the brave actions taken by the teachers and students in fighting against the epidemic with unity and strength, and to show the campus scenery after the storm.
During the festival, the university arranged about 500 potted lotus flowers in the Youth Park, library and other areas to make it more convenient for teachers and students to appreciate their beauty at close range. Roughly 100 mesmerizing kinds with various colors can be seen here, including Nelumbo “Xiao Zuixian”, “Kuihua Xiangyang”, “Bixue danxin”, “Bai Yun”, etc.
