News.hust.edu.cn (Correspondent: Dong Yuge) 2018 University Graduate Employment & Entrepreneurship Symposium & Experience Exchange Conference was hold e in Hangzhou from November 6 to 9. At the conference, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) was listed among "2018 Universities with Typical Experience in Innovation & Entrepreneurship" by the Ministry of Education (MOE).

As a representative of "2018 Universities with Typical Experience in Innovation & Entrepreneurship", Jing Pengfei, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs' Office, HUST delivered a speech titled "Discipline Crossing, Openness and Collaboration, Active Practice, Strong Support-Exploration of HUST's Model of Interdisciplinary Student Innovation & Entrepreneurship Team Building". He introduced HUST's student innovation & entrepreneurship education system with the distinctive features of independent practice, innovation drive, teamwork and discipline crossing formed by HUST according to the basic idea of "education orientation, all involvement, system integration and collaborative advancement", and emphasized the model of interdisciplinary student innovation & entrepreneurship team building.

MOE initiated the six-month selection of "2018 Universities with Typical Experience in Innovation & Entrepreneurship" in January 2018. Eventually 50 universities were shortlisted. Among them are 9 universities under central departments including HUST, 33 provincial universities and 8 higher vocational colleges. This is another major outcome of HUST in entrepreneurship and employment after it was listed among "2015 National Universities with Typical Experience in Graduate Employment".

The conference was hosted by the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center (CHESICC). Lin Huiqing, Member of the Party Leadership Group of MOE and Vice Minister of Education; Cai Xiaochun, Deputy Secretary General of the People's Government of Zhejiang Province; Wang Hui, Director of the Department of College Student Affairs and other relevant leaders were present. Shi Pengjian, Director of CHESICC presided over the conference.
