HUST held its first outdoor ball of 2023 on the evening of March 4th, with hundreds of students and faculties gathering on the playground for the unforgettable night of music and dancing.
The event, which was held to enrich students’ campus life, featured enjoyable warm-up games, professional dance lessons, as well as live music performances given by school orchestras.
As the night wore on, many attendees arrived early to participate in fun games and dance lessons. Their dancing moves got more fluid and graceful after meticulous instructions. The twinkling lights, gentle breeze and energizing music created a romantic atmosphere.
The ball kicked off with the extraordinary performance from student orchestras, the sound of flute, pipa and erhu filling the air. Dancers from the HUST Ballroom Dancing Club twirled and spun around the floor elegantly, their movements were perfectly in sync with the music of “Youth Waltz of HUST”.
A themed ball followed, marking the highlight of the night. The audience was stunned by the spectacular performances of Latin dancers, martial artists and the guitar band. The dance floor came alive with the infectious rhythm of the music.
As the star project of HUST Cultural Festival, the Open-Air Ball is highly acclaimed for its enchanting ambiance and valuable memories brought to attendees. This year, the event attracted more than 2,000 participants, with its video clips viewed over one million times on the internet.
