On October 14th, the "HUST-UB Digital Finance Workshop", supported by the Belt and Road Initiative Demonstration Project of HUST, was held online. Organized by the school of economics of HUST, the workshop aims to deepen collaboration with countries along the Belt and Road Initiative in the area of personnel training to promote educational resource sharing and the improvement of innovation capabilities.
HUST and the University of Brawijaya have a long-term cooperative partnership. Close mutual visits and cooperation on personnel training are frequent between faculties. This workshop intends to cultivate the ability of digital finance study. After the opening ceremony, Prof. Ouyang Hongbing delivered a special report on Digital Banking Development and Practice in China. Based on the situation in China, he introduced the rapid development of Bank 4.0 featuring digitization, invisibility and open banking. He pointed out the essential goal of Bank 4.0 was to update service objectives and service paradigms. Dozens of Indonesian teachers and students participated in training activities and discussions and enthusiastically raised various questions.
The "HUST-UB Digital Finance Workshop" comprises a series of lectures. The School of Economics has been offering more training programs including the application of machine learning in finance, panel data models and their application and financial technology.
