The International Photonics and Optoelectronics Meetings (POEM)

The POEM, launched by Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics in 2008, is an annual international conference bringing together a wide range of research, technologies and perspectives from experts, scholars, academic institutes and enterprises in photonics and optoelectronics to provide an international forum for ideas exchanges on recent advances and future trends. The scopes of POEM cover three fields of optoelectronics for information, energy and life, by integrating Photonic Radiation and Detection, Integrated Optoelectronics, Optoelectronic Information Storage, Laser Science and Technology, Photonics for Energy, Biomedical Photonics, Multimodal Molecular Imaging, Construction of Biomolecular Network, etc.

Since 2012, POEM has been working with the Optical Society (OSA) by co-organizing the special POEM-OSA Topic Meetings. Various activities of Symposia, Workshops and short courses on hot topics are concurrently programmed to highlight the conference. Until now, POEM has become an influential brand in the fields of photonics and optoelectronics in China.
