Zhu Zhongliang, born in 1936 in Jiangxi Province, is an expert in Communications. He graduated from Department of Radio Engineering of Huazhong Institute of Technology (now Huazhong University of Science and Technology) in 1961, and was elected as the academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999.

Zhu Zhongliang, specializing in the research on communications and information science, have hosted and participated in the research and development projects of information system of communications satellite with multi-functions and digital broadband wireless communication and signal processing system. His main research projects include signal estimation and recognition, weak signal detection, communications networking, information processing, etc. He has won the special prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award twice.
