Zhang Xiaolong, born in 1969 in Hunan Province, is the founder of Foxmail and Wechat and Senior Vice-president of Tencent.

Zhang Xiaolong pursued his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree at the Department of Electronic Information and Communications of HUST. After graduation, he invented Foxmail and Wechat, the most popular communication application in China, who is also known as the “Father of Wechat”. He was elected as the Figure of Innovation in China of 2012 by the Wall Street Journal, and in the Hurun China Rich List of 2019 and Hurun Global Rich List of 2020.
