On the afternoon of December 26th, the EIC Sub-forum of 12th East Lake International Forum for Outstanding Overseas Young Scholars was successfully held. Six outstanding young scholars from universities in Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Singapore were invited to give academic presentations. Ge Qian, Chair of the School Committee, Liang Kun, Assistant Dean, representatives of professors and young teachers attended the sub-forum.
The forum was hosted by Prof. Liang Kun. Ge Qian delivered a welcome speech. She extended a warm welcome to the young scholars, and gave an introduction to the school in terms of the faculty, scientific research, and student cultivation.
Dr. Liu Gaoyang from Simon Fraser University gave a presentation themed on "Research on Data Privacy and Security in Machine Learning". Dr. Li Shuangyang from Technical University of Berlin delivered a speech titled "Key Issues and Solutions for Next Generation Air Interface Waveform Design”. Dr. Shi Dongyuan from Nanyang Technological University gave a presentation themed on "Intelligent Multichannel Active Noise Control Technology". Dr. Xu Hao from University College London gave a presentation titled "Research on Physical Layer Security Technology Based on Information Theory". Dr. Yu Han from Chalmers University of Technology gave a presentation on "Applying Topology to Communication Models: From DoF Analysis to Communication Algorithm Design". Dr. Zhou Gui from Universitaet Erlangen-Nuernberg gave a presentation on "Reconfigurable Hypersurface Assisted Wireless Systems: Transceiver Design and Channel Estimation".
After the academic reports, representatives of young teachers, Prof. Xiao Yong, Prof. Yin Haifan, and Prof. Wan Kai, shared their experiences of working at the School of EIC. Finally, Ge Qian made a concluding speech, hoping that the young scholars will join the school in the future.
