On the afternoon of August 22, led by the School of International Education, 15 international students participating in the China Link-Discover at HUST Summer Program visited our school. Prof. Li Qiang, Prof. Wang Wei, Prof. Liao Zhenyu, and Zhang Jiani, the officer for school international affairs gave a warm welcome to the students.

First, Zhang Jiani gave a comprehensive introduction to the school in terms of its history, ranking, scientific strength, international education, etc.

Prof. Liao Zhenyu showed the students around the Mobile Communications and Intelligent System Lab. He showed what the research team is working on and the progress the team has made in Reconfigurable Intelligence Surface and the integration of communications-sensing-computing, and introduced the possible research intern. The students were very interested in the team’s research, and raised many questions like the application of large language model of AI in higher education, and the possible development of reliable AI.

Then, Prof. Li Qiang, Prof. Wang Wei and Prof. Liaozhenyu had a face to face talk with the students. Prof. Li Qiang introduced the school international research center “China International Joint Research Center of Green Communications and Networking”. Prof. Wang Wei showed the progress his team has made in intelligent unmanned system. Students had a deep discussion with teachers on the topics such as the integration of intelligent transportation and smart cities and the safety and reliability of intelligent unmanned system.        

         This visit has impressed the students, and can help the school advance internationalization.
