Personal Profile
Dr. Yu Junqing(1975 - ), male, professor, supervisor of Doctorate Candidates, director of national first-class (offline) undergraduate courses, director of national high-quality courses and national high-quality shared courses, responsible professor of undergraduate and postgraduate courses of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and director of intelligent media computing and network security research team. In June 2002, he obtained a doctorate degree in computing application technology from Wuhan University, studied at the University of Manitoba in Canada from August 2002 to March 2003, and has been teaching at Huazhong University of Science and Technology(HUST) since August 2003. He currently serves as director of the Central China Network Center of China Education and Research Network, vice director of the National Engineering Laboratory for the Next Generation Internet Access System of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, director of the Hubei Network Security and Informatization Innovation Research Center, member of the 8th Decision making Advisory Committee of Wuhan Municipal People's Government, standing member of the Multimedia Professional Committee of the Chinese Computer Federation, Executive Director of China Institute of Graphics, director of Animation Graphics Engineering Committee of China Institute of Graphics, member of Big Data Expert Committee of Chinese Computer Federation, ACM member and IEEE member as well. He also serves as director of Network and Information Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from 2010 to 2020, and director of Network and Information Office of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from 2015 to 2020, the finance director of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from 2020 to 2022, director of the State owned Assets Management Office from 2020 to 2022.
He has been engaged in research work in computer network, video intelligent analysis and search, multi-core computing and stream compilation, education informatization and other fields for a long time. In recent years, he has presided over and completed a number of scientific research projects, referring to projects of the National Key R&D Plan, the National Science and Technology Support Program, the High Technology Research and Development Program of China(863 Program), the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Defense Pre-research Fund, the China Doctoral Program Fund, and the Hubei Outstanding Youth Fund; He has published more than 180 papers, three monographs, and one translation works, owned more than 60 authorized invention patents and software copyrights in important conferences and journals such as AAAI, CVPR, NeuroIPS, ICCV, ISCA, CGO, ECCV, ICMR, TPAMI, TPDS, TMM, TCSVT, JPDC, Computer Network, and won a number of scientific research and teaching awards, including two Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards, one Geneva International Invention Award, the "three educations" Award of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Top Ten Youth faculty, the first prize of teaching achievements, and the first prize of the teaching competition for young teachers. His online courses Digital Circuit and Logic Design and Search Engine Technology Foundation have been offered in MOOC in Chinese universities, and online MOOC course Multimedia Foundation in has been presented in the biggest Chinese online learning platform.
Main academic contributions: (1) The data stream programming language COStream and its compiling system are proposed and designed; (2)A cross layer resource collaborative scheduling method for shared cloud computing is proposed, which improves the utilization of resources; (3) The largest fine-grained soccer video annotation dataset in the world is constructed, and the intelligent analysis method and system for sports video big data are proposed and designed.
