Personal Profile

Liu Yu is an associate researcher in the School of Computer Science and Technology, HUST. His Academic Areas include Similarity Hashing, Intelligent Cognitive Storage, Dark Data and Intelligent Operation and Maintenance.

He presided over 1 youth project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 primary project of Hubei Natural Science Foundation and 2 projects of Huawei; Participated in three key fund projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, three general fund projects and three youth fund projects; participated in several university-enterprise cooperation projects such as the Huakuk-Tencent Intelligent Cloud Storage Technology Joint Research Center; led the Tencent Internship Camp of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Led the research team to carry out cooperative research with Tencent, Huawei, Inspur, China Mobile and other companies in the research directions of intelligent cache, database reference, intelligent operation and intelligent file system.

He has published 22 papers in SIGMOD, DAC, IEEE Transaction on Cybernetics, IJCAI, ACM-MM, ICME, ICMR, PR, APWEB-WAIN, CIKM, ICCD, FGCS and other top journals and authoritative conferences in the field of multimedia, artificial intelligence, database, data mining and storage , among which the dark data work has won the best paper runner up in the APWEB-WAIN conference .
