Personal Profile
PhD, IEEE Member, ACM Member, CCF Senior Member, member of CCF Technical Committee of Information System, member of CCF Technical Committee of Computer Security . In 1999, he was given an accelerated promotion to associate professor for his outstanding performance. From 2004 to 2006, he conducted visiting research at the Department of Computing, University of Macquarie, Australia.
He presided over 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project of the Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province, 3 projects of international cooperation, 2 projects of special funds for basic scientific research business fees of central universities, 1 project of teaching reform research in Hubei Province, 4 projects of teaching reform research in schools, and more than 30 horizontal scientific research projects of various large enterprises. He has participated in 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, 1 key project of the Support Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology , and 2 cooperative projects of an institute of the Ministry of Public Security. He won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Hubei province and 1 national software copyright .
He has published more than 80 academic papers in domestic and international journals or conferences such as Journal of Computer Science, Journal of Software, Neurocomputing, IEICE T INF SYST, Electronic Commerce Research and Applications, among which more than 50 papers were included by SCI, ISTP and EI. Compiled 2 textbooks, 3 undergraduate textbooks. As of June 2020, it has guided 22session of postgraduate students, a total of more than 100, of which more than 90 students have received master 's degrees. He has supervised 3 doctoral candidates by cooperating with other supervisors, all of whom have got doctor’s degree. He has guided undergraduates to participate in various national discipline competitions for many times, and achieved excellent results.
At present, he is mainly engaged in natural language processing ( knowledge base and automatic question answering ), industrial Internet of Things and security, information system security evaluation and Internet-based application research. Research Group
Name of Research Group: Intelligent and Embedded Computing Laboratory
Description of Research Group : The intelligent and embedded computing laboratory relies on the Key Laboratory of Image Information Processing and Intelligent Control of the Ministry of Education and the Digital Media Research Institute of the School of Computer Science. It is mainly engaged in the theoretical research of artificial intelligence and embedded computing. The main research directions are deep learning, computer vision, surveillance video big data analysis, high-dimensional data indexing and deep edge computing ( transplanting deep learning algorithms to embedded platforms such as ARM + DSP, ARM + FPGA and ARM + GPU ). The accuracy of the currently trained deep face model on the international public face verification dataset LFW and the face recognition dataset Megaface is 99.48 % and 83.16 %, respectively, which is at the international first-class level. The large-scale index based on hash technology has been applied to large-scale face retrieval, and can achieve millisecond response on billion-level data. It has won 1 first prize of Science and Technology Progress of Hubei Province and 1 first prize of science and technology Progress of Chinese Society of Electronics.It has published more than 70 high-grade papers in top computer conferences and academic journals.
